Here you will find the ruins of the Public Square and shopping district of dating back to Roman times in the Namazgah district, at the foot of Mt. Pagos (Kadifekale). Originally the site was uncovered in the mid 30’and further digging started in 1996, this is one of the largest Ionian Agoras. Many of the statues and artifacts uncovered here can be seen in the Izmir Archaeological Museum...

Alanya Historical Places
ALANYA CASTLE
Alanya Castle, whose ramparts are about 6.5 kilometers long, is on the peninsula 250 meter high above the sea. The settlement on Alanya peninsula, which is also known as "Kandeleri", not only dates back to hellenistic era but also reflects the 13. century as a Seljukian site.
Alanya Antique cities
Both on the west and east of Alanya are there plenty of ancient sites' remains. These are sites of Pamphylia's and Cilicia's some of which are on the coast while some other are on steep slopes. The ruins reflect the charasterictics of the region.
Alanya Museums
The bronze casting sculpture, which dates back to 2nd century AD, is exclusively displayed on its own room
There are four museums in Alanya. They are Archeology Museum, Ethnography Museum, Keep (İçkale) Museum and Atatürk House Museum. All of the museums are under the command of Alanya Museums Administration and they are not allowed to be visited without payment.
